Biography of Ritu Nanda, Raj Kapoor's daughter, released
Nandapassed away last year after a prolonged fight with cancer.
Written by prominent author and editor Sathya Saran and published by HarperCollins, 'Being Ritu: The Unforgettable Story of Ritu Nanda', takes a closer look at her life and also the varied roles she played, including a celebrated insurance advisor and creator of the popular Niki Tasha kitchenette range.

The blurb also mentions that the biography also includes tributes from several prominent faces from the Hindi film industry, family members, and friends, including Amitabh Bachchan, Randhir Kapoor, Rima Jain, Kareena Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Sonali Bendre, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Gauri Khan, and many others.
Bachchan has written a note in the book, describing Nanda as "ever giving, ever caring, ever gracious in her demeanor" and one who lived life in the "beauty of each season". Bachchan's daughter Shweta is the daughter-in-law of Nanda.
In addition, Nanda's sister Rima Jain states in the forward of the book, "Ritu was the goalpost I aspired to.
Her nature, her pristine calm, her all-encompassing love, and her talent to rise above every hurdle are aspects of her life that anyone reading this book will be inspired by."
Her brother actor Randhir Kapoor recalls in the foreword: “We went along with her to support her with our ‘star’ presence at events, but in reality, she was the crowd-puller.
Her charisma reached out to embrace everyone she interacted with, and it was genuine. There was nothing false about her.”
